A t a very young age, I recall peeping over the kitchen counter, climbing onto the chair and watching every move my mother and grandmother made while baking and preparing meals. I grew to truly love cooking and until this day cooking is like therapy to me.
My enthusiasm for gardening and my excitement about growing my own fruits and vegetables started in 1985 while living outside the city of Philadelphia. A very good nurse friend of mine inspired me to start my own garden, so that I could can fruits and vegetables that my family was able to consume all year round.
In 2008 when I settled in the Metro Atlanta, GA area where as a registered Nurse I began my mission to impact the lives of others by helping them change their lifestyles and behaviors, so they could make informed decisions about their own health and wellness. This personalized coaching included preparing personal chef meals, providing one-on-one cooking sessions, teaching how to read food labels and the importance of understanding what we consume on a daily basis.
During this time, I also became a Gardening Hobbyist. Growing for my family started as a hobby but became an energizing part of my life that I sharing with others. I find gardening to be an effective tool for stress management, as well as providing food for my family. Through trials, failures, successes and much research, I have been harvesting successfully year after year.
